Yeah nvidia needs to make some decent vista drivers for the 8800gts.

yes they are. It just means they can be used on 8800's aswell.

then why is it when i try to get hte new 7 series drivers it still has the old one? when i say i have a 8800 though it goes to the new one...?

I don't know. But I've used 97.xx drivers on my 7950 GT, from guru3d
guru3d have 101.02 drivers right now, which I'm using on my 8800 GTS
