Hi,

I have one hard drive, that being said its my C drive. I am wondering is there anyway I can format it without touching the OS. What I want to do is wipe this bad boy clean so it only has windows without needing to install windows because I lost my CD.

If that is not possible how would I quickly remove everything off of it besides the OS?

The reason I ask is this is a comp from someone else that I want to wipe all their songs and movies off of without needing to format.

Thanks.

Simply uninstall any programs you don't need, delete folders/files and accounts you no longer need. At least 1 administrative account need to be active.

search the HDD for files ending in ".mp3", ".avi" and so on...
you can remove/delete files from within the search tool
Like mentioned before CCleaner is great for removing temp files, and unwanted apps.
It's HIGHLY recommended. But it can't remove files of a specific type.

Good Luck
