I'm updating my motherboard which will have a pci-e slot in there, what's the best pci-e card that will work really well with elder scrolls: oblivion within a recent amount of range within money? Thanks!

I don't think you could have been much broader in yor scope there.

For starters... what's the wattage of your PSU? That will let us know whether or not it can handle a big card or if you would need to replace it.

What's your budget? What might be a decent amount to you may be a lot to me. Give us a ballpark.

Do you have a preference as to NVIDIA or ATI?

depends on your resolution, depends on your budget.

I have a 7900GS and it will play the dungeons of oblivion with 70+ FPS with settings on about medium maybe a little lower at 1440x900 Res. Still there is nothing to this day that can get 60+ FPS in the "killing fields" on oblivion at even 1024x964 RES, even SLI 8800GTX...it's amazing.

I would be looking at a 7900GS when on a 1280x1024 res or similar at least, and then atg least a 7600GT on 1024x76 RES.
