hey guys, i might be getting this rig, just waiting on fianance.

MOBO: ASUS P5N-E SLI, 650i SLI

CPU: Intel E6300 Conroe

GPU: EVGA e-Geforce 8800 GTS KO ACS3, 640MB, PCI-E, (580MHz/1700MHz)

HDD: Seagate 250GB SATAII 7200.10 16MB Cache

CASE: GIGABYTE 3D Aurora 570 BLACK

PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 600W

OS: Windows XP Home Ed.

so thats the rig, any help will be very appreciated.

Awesome system...but I think people will suggest the MSI P6N 650i, instead of the ASUS P5N-E SLI. I have the ASUS, and it's a little buggy. I would also suggest the Gigabyte 965P-DS3, it's way cheaper now, and can overclock great.

ya thats great, and good of u to use XP home instead of Pro, cuz they charge money for software u can get for free, like Remote Desktop Connecton. ANd use the p6n-sli platinum or norm instead of that Asus one u got now

Heh nice choice on the ram there

I'm going to agree with getting an MSI P6N 650i. They are cheaper, and the newer version. Get the P6N or a DS3.

However, in no way is the Asus P5N 650i bad and you could get one and be just fine with it. I just suggest the P6N instead.

i thought you would like it sora, yeah i have been trying to find the MSI version but no in australia seems to stock it and if they do its pretty expensive. i might go with the ds3 then.

The DS3 is still today an excellent board that you can't go wrong with. Any one of those 3 boards and you will be happy.
