My mother board does not support DDR2 but is DDR just as good? or do i need a new motherboard for gameing?

DDR2 is faster than at DDR in a sense. You do not NEED DDR2 memory at all for gaming. You do however need it for the new CPU's such as C2D's and some of the X2's.


So no you do not NEED it unless you plan on upgrading your CPU.

Pentium D's are better than your 3.2 celly that's for sure. However there are much better CPU's.

What resolution do you play on? Or what size monitor do you have.

Telling us what type of games you want to play would help immensely as well.

well im buying battlefeild 2 and right now i have a shity monitor but my comp speed is more important i have a 15" crt old peace of crap. so FPS and RPG's. and any recomendations on fast paced run and gun type of FPS?

What I would do is get a 512 stick of cheap DDR ram and then a cheap graphics card and play CS: S

Counter strike is an older but yet one the highest rated FPS out there. You do not need powerful specs to run this game and enjoy it.
