I just purchase a Nvidia FX6200 with 256mb onboard with Turbocache off a guy on ebay for 60.00 new, to replace a ageing 4x TI4200, what do you guy think of this card?
To my knowledge there is no such thing as an FX6200.
There is, however, a such thing as a 6200 or a FX5200. Both of which aren't very big performers, to say the least.
Here a link for the card eBay: NEW Nvidia FX6200/6200 256MB 8x AGP Video Graphics Card (item 250098281211 end time Mar-28-07 15:30:00 PDT)
Heres some specs

BioStar P4M80-M4
Intel 2.26 512 533
1gig of pc3200 no name RAM
Maxtor 40 and 60 gig 5400rpm drives
Liteon DVD CDR
TI4200 128mb 4x
I know its not up to the gamers specs but it a budget build with some old parts I had laying around and it plays Doom3, Quake 4 and Halo and soon Halo 2 for pc
There is no such thing as an FX6200 and if it's an FX5200 it's not worth that price. I would truern it and get a 7300GT off newegg and it will blow any other card around that price out of the water.

I called a local computer shop and he has 7 FX6200 in agp and pci-e then I called Best Buy and talk to a tech and they also sell them for 89.99 agp 79.99 for pci-e
for a FX6200 (not FX5200) so I guess they do make that card.
Thanks for your help
I just looked it up and it was a later card like the X1300Pro for PCI.
The card however is nowhere near as powerful as a 7300GT which you could get for like 10 bucks more...The 6600GT is a good alternative but it's now more expensive as they don't make them anymore.
I would seriously return that card and get a 7300GT as the FX6200 is not that powerful at all.
Where can I get it for $70? neweggs price is a $100 plus $6 shipping Newegg.com - CHAINTECH GSA73GT GeForce 7300GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail
I was looking at the 6600GT but I said to myself I would not go crazy on this budget machine, you know its just old part I have had for years from many different machines.
Just found out they are still made but only in China and import to the U.S.
and still BIG in China and only some U.S. dealer carry them.
