Strange Windows XP activation

Hi, there!

My friend has activated his Windows Xp the first time he installed the os. Yesterday, he found an unknown program "swin.exe" created on 2003-3-1 is trying to access the internet. So he put this "swin.exe" into the recycle bin as well as another file (Name forget) created at the same time.

The he found he was required to activated his Xp when he open his computer this morning ----- He didn't change the hardware at all.

Anyone has a clue?

Even ironically, he couldn't activated the Xp either through the internet or the phone(The Microsoft support people is not working on weekend?)
