mobo in dishwasher part 2

I'd heard about doing that with old keyboards but not with motherboards!!!

In case you guys don't know, there was a thread a few months back where a person asked about putting a mobo into a dishwasher.

Some people criticized him, until the professionals gave their input;

"Motherboard manufacturers wash their motherboards in a giant dishwasher using special chemicals to get rid of all of the junk and plastic left from outlining the circuits on the board"

So this is actually a good thing, just take out the battery - if you have a busted mobo, this might fix it -since companies regularly use this method to clean out motherboards - they are usually covered with lots of eccess stuff left over from the production and the acid used for the melting away of the plastic that lines it.

SO to the people who don't believe this works, double check your sources - this has been proven to work, and I don't see anything wrong with something like this, especially if the motherboard is busted. It could use a good cleaning anyway Just remove most of the components, and use a GENTLE detergent (in some cases, no detergents), low temperature, and just let it get washed a bit. Then dry it with a hairdryer, let it sit for a few days, and see if it works.

how did he get the metal parts such as the capacitators from shorting out and from rusting how did he dry it? im SO CONFUSED AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

If the battery and P/S was disconnected for a few hours, and then let to sit for a day or two, he can put it in water - since there's no electric charge to set it off or short circuit something.

As for the drying, simply leave it on the counter or something -and let evaporation take it's place.
