I just posted that price for whatever reason... This is my first time upgrading a PC and I have no idea what I should buy and how much to spend.

Wait, do you mean NVIDIA GeForce FX5500? or NVIDIA Quadro FX5500? or just NVIDIA FX5500?

Oh sorry, I meant the Nvidia GeForce FX5500. It's a little faster than the ATI Radeon 9250. It goes around for $50-70 US. And make sure it's the PCI version, and not the AGP version.

I would say you should just maybe save up to get new comp

yeah, don't bother upgrading the card for 150 dollars. save up and get a totally new PC with C2Ds, you'll be much happier.
