I wonder why CPU-Z says the E6300 is an Allendale. It isn't, it's a Conroe with half its cache disabled.

There's an interesting thread somewhere on Xtremesystems about cheating with benchmark tools, CPU-Z, and others. Can't find it atm.

The CPU-Z from the pic says version 1.36, the newest one, which is 1.39....states both the E6300 and E6400, as Conroes.

ahhhh... I see. I should upgrade to the new version regardless I guess, but the stepping is L2, which is Allendale. It is not B2 which is Conroe.
