Hello,

I want to upgrade my laptop's processor. I currently have an Intel Celeron M 430 1.73Ghz processor (using Socket M, 478 pins).

My question is, which processor should I get, if you had to choose between the two:
  • Core Solo T1300 1.66Ghz
  • Core Duo T2400 1.83Ghz
I ask this because the primary qualities I want is long battery life, and low heat...not performance.

So, with that in mind, would it make more sense to get a Core Duo T2400, than a Core Solo T1300?

Cheers.

I agree. Both the C2S and the C2D have pretty low power consumption, so you might as well go with the dual core.

What is C2S and the C2D ?

He was talking about Core solo and Core duo (not Core 2 duo and Core 2 solo)

By the way, there is no processor called Core 2 solo
