Sold my M2N-SLI/3800 X2/1GB DDR2 800/7900GT/19" LCD for $550.00

So this upgrade cost me $178.09

Did I get a good deal? Furthermore, will it be easy to swap out the parts? (not physically)

P.S. - The $280 ($260 w/MIR) 8800GTS went o_O.S. for 12 hrs...and I bought the expensive one lol.

I would use 1GB G.Skill DDR2-800 as they are faster. Other than that what you sold was a good deal in my book.

Yea I was iffy on the ram, but its set to 1.8V, so i figured at 1.9-2.0V it should be stable if not OC'able to 850. (Some reviews claim 950 :amazed: )

But the guy who's recieving my parts,(after mine arrive from newegg), will he be able to swap and go pretty much? I mean, will he run into any kind of problem related with his HDD?

if he is just gonna pop in his hd onto that system youre selling him its not gonna work most of the time you will need to reinstall windows

Benny in response to the RAM. My one stick of G.Skill is set at 1.8v and when overclocked up to 2.15v It can hit DDR2-1192. The other stick of the same stuff at 2.15v hits DDR2-1140.

I have them running in dual channel now at 430mhz 4-4-3-9.

Keep in mind that this stick is only 90 bucks now I believe.

Just get the G.Skill....best price/Performance there is.

Also good choice on the cooler becuase the Arctic Freezer keeps my E6300 under 58 max load on 1.456 vcore 3.22ghz

Why does your sig already say E6300 @ 2.8 GHz even thought you haven't put together your computer yet?

Because it's an easy OC for the e6300's. Call me optimistic...call me crazy, but I will run that chip at 2.8GHz at the least, hense the cooler. :)

So will I too have to reinstall windows to swap motherboards???

PS - AS5 or the MX1 (stock) paste on the AF Pro 7? I heard its debatable...

Also, Is there a proper way to "break in" a core 2 duo to increase OC-ability?

I kept the MX1 on it and it works great. As far as from what I did I didn't have to burn in my new E6300 at all.
