REALLY loud fan

HI, a friend of mine has a dell that has used to run Word Perfect. He stopped using word perfect because it was overheating the computer and making the fan super loud (like a loud big fan). However, it is still really loud. What can i do or download to help solve this problem? thanks

Is the case in a well-ventilated area, or is it stuffed in a small cubby?

You can try taking the side panel off and blowing the components off with compressed air.

try fixing the fan in cabinet..it may be possible that fan is loose

blow her clean with compressed air and lube her with a spray lubricant (BTW dont use WD-40 as lubricant because its not a lubricant)
