Windows Vista HELP!

Well I've had nothing but problems with Vista.. After using it for over 2 months I am defiantly ready to go back to XP. Just one problem, I have the CD but I lost my XP CD-Key. I remember when I first installed Vista that there was a way to go back to XP without having to reformat. Can someone here tell me what to do, I've tried everything I could think of. Please reply if you know.

call microsoft customer service, when you try to install xp it gives you an instillation number or something of that sort (if you have no cd key or you gave an invalid one), give that number to the rep on the phone and they will get you thru the install.

There is no way to go back after you installed Vista. If you tried upgrading then you will have the Window.old folder but that is about it.
