VHow many have done it? Have you used the upgrade to do a clean install on a new computer without an os already installed? I have heard mixed reports from reputable people with some saying illegal and some saying do it because MS knows about this and are letting it happen?? Anyone care to comment?????

When installing an OS,
It is always wise to install clean.

I do recommend this. If you want good performance.

To do it you basically have to install Vista twice. Vista will NOT allow you to upgrade until you have a XP install up and running that is FULLY LEGIT.

That means it has to pass WGA and all that. If you dont pass you will not be able to use the upgrade disc to install Vista.

There is a way around it but as i said you basically have to isntall Vista twice in order for it to work.

Sure you can do it, but the debate is to whether it is ethical or not. The EULA is pretty ambiguous about this, so that is why some people justify doing this. I don't know what to think.

just do it. It may be time consuming but it will be worth it as I have done it

and it's worth mentioning that all vista keys work with all version of windows.

so you could buy basic and use an ultimate disc to install
