winrar problems

i recently used adaware, and spybot search and destroy to get rid of spyware, and i think i possibly removed something i needed.

recently my winrar has stopped working

every single file that is rar'ed or zip'ed gets the error "file is corrupt" or "archive is corrupt."

i tried removing winrar and reinstalling, but i am still getting the same error.

any suggestions?

Are you sure that the files are not corrupt?

yeah im sure, its with everything.

Winrar is ok pal.
But the problem is that some antivirus programs corrupt compressed files.

This also happens for some SETUP (installation files)

If you have to re-download the files to make sure they are not corrupted.

Re-Downloading solves the problem.

Also have you checked your HDD recently ? Maybe there are Bad sectors.
