2 hd 7200.10 vs 1 raptor X 10,000

What would you take of this 2 options:



2 barracuda 7200.10 360gb $ 94

vs

1 Western Digital Raptor X 150GB 3.5" Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM
$ 220


im looking for speed, not space

The former option for sure.

If you Raid0 the two 7200.10's it'd be pretty close performance-wise, however raid is a little less reliable. Raptors cost more though, so it's up to you how much you want to spend.

Your getting a LOT more space for about the same performance. Your getting 720GB opposed to 150GB for cheaper...as stated they aren't as fullproof as a solo Raptor but I doubt anything will go wrong. Go with it man

2 74gb raptors in raid 0 is pretty kickass, and then just get a 3rd like 320gb HDD or something.. ~.~


BUT... raid0 7200's should be suffice, I think.
