Windows hacker, virus, or some problem

I had kind of the same thing happen a while back... it ended up being a worm. I copyed the windows task manager to my other hard drive and ran it from there... It worked fine.. Than i disabled the worm which had named itself outlook.exe, than scaned and deleted the bugger.
