ok , now... what about the other components,

680i mobo or 975 mobo?

and some other question: what brand of the many 8800gtx should i take

eVGA for sure for the 8800GTX and register it. You can use the Step-up plan to pay like 50 bucks more and get an 8900GTX or something heh.

Also I would go with the 975 just becuase I hear so many problems and bugs with the 680i.

I'd probably go for a 680i
some people say there's bugs with them though.

actually, that's not going to matter a whole lot either.

video cards are outsourced, much like power supplies.

On top of that, the majority of video cards use exactly the same PCB designs.

the differences are usually its colour, the sticker on the cooler, sometimes the cooler itself, and the stock clock speeds.

Sometimes some cards have a longer warranty though.

thanks for the replies.

my big question still: 680i or 975 sora says 975, most of you say 680i

e6600 ^ , 680i. why the **** not? you have four thousand dollars (lol sora)!
e6400 v, 975. why? you will get better overclocking results.
i love my corsair, i dont care what you say sora you g skill fanboy lol.
i also love my fifty dollar (lol) coolmax power supply. but i do wish i had gotten a fortron. i have this nagging feeling that my psu is holding me back from hitting a REALLY high (relatively speaking) overclock of my 4200.
although i have been informed (maybe by apokalipse?) that my nf4 chipset is better suited for s939. still waitin on that two hundred dollar (lol) foxconn to drop.

The 680i is great when it works lol but there aren't many problems with the 975 though.

Still it's your choice both will work wonderfully.

And your XMS2 is overpriced!! G.Skill FTW >.>

DDR2-1160 FTW lmao
