ok ima deff building a media center pc for the living room , all it has to do is veiw web pages play dvds/cds and .. thats it lol... nothing else.. im prolly going to go AMD AM2 .. just for upgradeablitiy later on bc i can see this comp being used for medium duty use in the future....... looking at this board maybe... any thoughts?this board here... BIOSTAR

it's a good board for the price, I would go C2D as they are better and we don't know for sure anyway who will come out on top in a few months anyway. Still it's your money and that is a good AM2 board for the price.

yeah i was going to go c2d but i dont need the duo core powahhh ... at least i dont think lol

I understand, since X2's will pretty much do whatever you need these days as well. If it's a media center PC just get an X2 3800 and that board, it will do what you need it to do for cheap.

yea the X3800 is such a kickass CPU for the price and it will overclock pretty decent too.

Heh AMD still is in the game.
