XP install

Trying to install xp but getting msg:

Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key

Anyone know what I'm doin wrong? I am a newb in need of help

you need to go into your bios and make sure that your CD-ROM is your first boot device. If you have more than 1 CD ROM, make sure your in the right one.

Thanks plumber, but I had the wrong disk in....Too many hours awake....
