Strange Windows Fonts

During a power outage my windows shut down. When I rebooted, the windows sartup screen had really weird fonts.

It seems like all the system fonts are screwed up. They look like wing dings.

Web pages and outlook pages can be viwed, but you have to guess where the buttons are, because you can't read anything.

I tried to restore to a date prior to the power outage, but this didn't help.

Any ideas??

can u do a windows repair, sounds like something got major corrupted during the power outage prolly in the middle of writing something to ur hdd

I was able to do a restore back one week and it works ok now.

I don't know what happened. I did a virus scan and nothing showed up.

There are controls within IE to change the default fonts it may have reset defaults to wrong font. But you have it workin just wanted to let you know what happened so that you can know for a later date.
