What is the difference between these three formats of Hard Drives?

Thx in advance!

IDE is the standard and is ok, SATA is a faster form of IDE that costs a few bucks more. I recommend SATA. SCSI is where the hardrive has its own communications bus, it is faster but costs an arm and a leg. Bad cost to performance ratio. I would get SATA.

i think.... Ultra320 SCSI (16-bit Wide) 320 MByte/sec is the fastest of them all. generally SCSI is the fastest and is used where speed is critical like serving a large Ecommerce website. you do not see SCSI much anymore because IDE and SATA are so much cheaper. for some people it would cost MORE than just an arm & a leg. I would recommend SATA too or ATA133
