Advice on a *hopefully* high end rig

At the moment, I have a Radeon9600 which isn't even worthy of going near this build ^^
I have no idea what to go with when picking a video card, theres just so many and they seem to do the same thing.
Also, I could purchase the case without the PSU. :D

What is this build for? Is it a high end gaming machine? Or just something to do a little editing and watch movies and things.

The Case Like I said seems fine if you like the design, but I can't pick a power supply until I figure out the kind of video card you would need so tell me what you are wanting to do with that card.

Sounds fun so heres where the fun comes in you choose how much you want to spend on the card I'll give you the 3 best choices here. All 3 card will destroy games and edit videos very well...

$529

$369

$299

Getting either of those will give off a lot of heat though which will warrant a case with better cooling as well.

Hmm I think I'll go with the "EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS / 640MB GDDR3 / SLI / PCI Express / Dual DVI / HDTV / HDCP Enabled / Video Card"
I can't really tell the difference between the cards, but I think I'm coming pretty close to my budget.
And I'll look at other cases then ^^

You should understand as well that the 640mb version of the 8800GTS will only help when you have a monitor that is above 20inches, therefore unless you have a 22 or above the cheaper of the 3 will perform the exact same since the 2nd and the 3rd are the same speed and power but one has memory on the card.

And yes just look for a case that has 3 120mm Fans.

Hmm I just read a bit about it. It seems like a good case, but there a two problems. The main one is the positioning of the convenient ports at the front of the case.
I quote: "Depending on what your desk setup is like, these ports could either be very convenient or completely useless (if you have you tower located under and to the right hand side of your desk)"
Unfortunately.. thats exactly where my case has to be, because it's the way my desk is made.. :(
And second tiny problem.. I'd really like it to have a clear side so I can stick some lights in there ^^

See if you can't find this one then since I doubt its on tiger.
