yes the 3007wfp is still alive and well but i only wish they came out with a newer one with something better than 700:1 contrast ration, and make it an ultrasharp like the new 27" ultrasharp

Great setup, Darkop16. That's the exact kind of thing I'm looking for.

Also, more about the 22". Is there anyway to make games that don't fit correctly to not display on the entire screen size down do it doesn't display on the entire monitor? If not I guess I'll have to get another monitor for backup since I really would hate playing stretched out games.

alot of games support WS. What happens is it expands the view further...kinda like the difference between a full screen movie and a WS movie.

my only suggestion is go Logitech

** all of this isn't very relevant unless you're buying in the next few weeks however, as prices and technology will change dramatically over the next half year :)

Some of your choices I judge. Even with a high budget like this, I would NOT recommend the 680i boards right now.

Even though OCZ make good PSU's I would NOT recommend 700w's as that's overkill, a good 550w or even the 600w version is fine and will be fine.

I do NOT like the XMS2 line at all anymore. I have yet to see XMS2 Overclock better than any of the DDR2-800 G.Skill yet. They are overpriced with the Corsair name on them.

When those can do DDR-1176 at 5-5-5-15 on 2.15v's then I'll start recommending them. Until then my 100 buck G.Skill NR's destroy them.

w/e man,
it's mostly preference.
G.Skill are nice, but Corsair tend to run more stable, and he didn't say he was OCing. the 680i's are nice boards with good feature sets, and 700w gives him plenty of headroom.

BTW, fyi,
k|ngp|n the highest scorer on 3dmark uses both the evga 680i board AND Corsair Dominator memory, as well as a 1000w power supply

Corsair XMS2 does not run more stable. ASk the hundreds of people whose XMS2 won't fire up with their board or better yet all the people who have gotten 1 DOA stick on a dual channel pack. Corsair Value is great and That's almost always the best for the price of value, but their XMS2 line I'm highly dissapointed. Also the 680i's features are what SLI and a physics card? Who actually buys or needs a Physics card and how useful is SLI?

Even in SLI 700w's is pure overkill for two 8800GTX's or so, as a single card can be run by a TT Toughpower or FPS 400w.

EDIT: The motherboard has nothing to do with his high 3D marks in general, it's becuase he can run SLI 8800GTX. Nor does the PSU effect your overclock by having 500 unused watts. As for the memory I never said the Dominator ram wasn't amazing, it may be overpriced but it's one of the best ram if not THE best out there. I was talking about their standard XMS2's they they sell which is overhyped.
