nice one, i havent technically built my own but i recently got a new case(Antec nine hundred) and put everything back into the new case so i guess you could say i built my own?
By the way great choice in speakers they will blow you away. Ive got the x530's (5.1) basically like the ones you listed except with less power and there not THX certified like the ones your getting, the ones i have are awesome so the Z-5500 will be amazing

Normally I would say a lot of those things are just complete overkill like the mouse, ram, and Raptor but...It's hard to make a frickin $4000USD build without actually putting some of the overpriced stuff in there. So I guess if you really have that much money to throw around then yea you can get things like the Dominator memory. I still Recommend G.Skill HZ's over them and it will save you a few bucks and those are amazing ram. You don't want to go all out everywhere becuase you can get better things.

Also wheres the kickass X-Fi soundcard for those kickass speakers huh? Don't tell me you forgot that lol.

Right, got rid of the mouse, the RAM and added G.Skill HZ's, found a nice Samsung monitor and added an x-fi gamer edition. I'm quite happy with it at the moment.

Also, still not too sure on the x64 version of Vista, reading around apparently drivers are limited, can anyone else shed some light on me.

i thought of sound card but i just assumed you wouldn't have forgot it.
Ive got an X-Fi Xtreme audio soundcard and it does actually make the speakers sound much better (clearer sounds in music, sounds in games that you didnt think were there) and it has brought the sub to life, it makes the picture shake on the wall! excellent cards ;)

Sorry that I took so long went out to the girls boarding house for a beer. here you go here is wat i would reccomend. I got a 250m range bluetooth dongle instead of the one you wanted i put one raptor as you said for installation and 2 400gb barracudas for storage put them in a raid 0 array. You still need to add a mouse, keyboard and soundcard if you are an audiophile monitor and case. https://secure.scan.co.uk/Shop/ViewCart.ASP?WhereTo=UQ&TooMuch=False

as you can see with v.a.t. I went slightly over budget but you have some premier stuff there which should last you a good couple of years

ooooh 17 quid over, hmmmmm will he stretch it to £2017

I think he should, as you said this will last him for years and he will get alot of enjoyment out of it

I'm not so sure, that £17 will cost me.

I've decided, i'm building the computer without a processor, sticking a lemon there instead.
Thanks for the work anway saltynay
