I'm building a comp and I'm wanting to know if these parts would be good for general gaming.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Western Digital WD-2500JD RE 250GB 8MB 8.9ms 7200rpm SATA

Raidmax RX450KW 450W P/S

Kingston 512MB DDR 400MHz KVR400X64C3A/512 PC3200

ASROCK AM2NF4G-SATA2 AM2 6100/410MCP DDR2-800 7.1CH HD 64BIT/DUAL CORE RAID

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0 GHz - Socket AM2 - L2 512 KB

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any help/recommendations would be appreciated !

Thanks guys!

No....but i guess that depends what you mean by general gaming....any in particular?

Firstly: Welcome to the forum! We are looking for members who are interested in helping with computer related info, hopefully, for the longterm.

Secondly: Please use the "search" function to guide you in what is currently recommended as a decent system for today's games....check the stickys.

Thirdly:

The hard-drive is fine.

The power supply is weak. Go with a Fortron (best bang for your buck)

-You need a min of 1GB of RAM , preferably 2GBS...any ram will do

-That mboard and processor will work fine for a low budget, gaming system, just dont expect to play future games well....

Hope that helps...

Post links from newegg or wherever...

dual core = $$

$$ = Something I don't got right now lol.

since I'm only like 15, money isn't something I have a lot of right now xD

I'm gonna be getting a job soon though, if i have enough when the time comes, then I'll go for that Dual core CPU

AMD processors are crap - get a core 2 duo

If your going to say that, at least don't leave him hanging. Recommend one with a board, And how are they all of a sudden crap?

OK, Now back to buisness.
Whats your budget? We can help alot more w/ a budget.
( I would recommend getting two sticks of 512, instead of one 1gb, 2x512 sticks lets it run in dual channel.)

Im looking for a budget system of 500-650 Bucks that can handle decent games, is it possible at all?

Just fyi, newegg accepts all these types of payment....
• Visa
• MasterCard
• Discover
• American Express
• Newegg Preferred Account
• Bill Me Later
• Newegg Gift Certificate
• Pre-paid Company Check, Personal Check, Cashier's Check or Money Order (Note: All Prepaid Orders, including Cashier's Checks, take longer to process because they must first be cleared with the bank)

ou can get a money order from the bank, you just give them the money, and they give you a money order for that amount...
