i just restored win me and everytime i try to go to internet explorer, it gives me this msn sign up crap. how do i get rid of it? thx

Normally, I would delete a reply as unintelligent as the above....but I think that I'd like to keep it up there and let it shine for everyone to see.
The MSN Signup is a default for ME. It should allow you to cancel the signup and just connect using your previous method. How do you normally connect to the internet?

Yeah, win ME does blow, but there's 2 options that might work to get rid of it. I haven't tried these myself on ME, but it works just fine on XP.
Go into Add/Remove Programs, click on Add/Remove Windows component and uninstall the Windows Messenger.

Right click My Computer and click manage. Expand the Services and Applications tab. Click on Services and stop the Messenger Service.
