Hey, a while ago I was having some computer problems and used driver cleaner but it deleted a few files that were vital for boot up. The computer would not boot into windows or safe mode and so I tried to repair windows and that would not work either. I then reinstalled windows without formatting so that I could retrieve the files first, but now with the new installation, the files are nowhere to be found.
The C drive still says that it only has 23 gigs free which is the same as it was before, but I can't find the files I'm trying to save. They were in a folder on the desktop where I kept and organized most files. When I do a hard drive search for the folder or files in the folder the search comes up with nothing.
I need to get these files backed up as they are irreplaceable so any help would definitely be appreciated.
