Hello!
Ok, as the subject says, I am trying to overclock my PNY Verto Geforce 7600 GS 512 MB AGP. When I open ATITOOL or Rivatuner, it reports 400MHz as the default Core Clock and 270MHz as the Default Mem Clock. This seems really low when compared to everyone else that has the same card as me. Is something up here? Right now I have it at 513Mhz Core and 321Mhz Mem and it seems stable for now. Any ideas? Also I would like to add that when I ran ATITool and chose Find Max Core clock, it got up to about 525 and my comp froze =x and around 330 Mem clock I get artifacts.

Use a different program... Say your memory is at 300MHz DDR2 then it would be 600MHz effective. It doubles. It's just a different way of reading the memory frequency.

that or it could be sitting in 2D mode, my old 6600GT (RIP my friend), had 2D and 3D settings that it went to automatically. I guess it was to save power or something, no since in using full 3D power on the desktop
