I put a DVD burner in there, as they have pretty much become a standard part of any build (they have become quite inexpensive).

I know you didn't want a huge HDD, but the 160GB is only a few more dollars than the 80GB:D
 
My suggestion is go with what Gage has, but get a 7600GT instead and a 250GB HDD.

You could even just get 1GB RAM and use that saved money for a better PSU.
 
well, once i get everything together and i am ready to start building, i am sure i will have questions so i will come back here for sure
