lol read the original post this is an improvement to xp users it doesnt matter that vista has dx10 as thousands of windows customers still use xp.

No game uses DirectX 10 yet.
By the time they do, I might look at a new card. But right now, DirectX 9.0c is still working very well.

Vista already has DirectX 10. why would they make an inferior DirectX version for it?

You guys wait and see, it WILL happen. And no its not a myth as someone said before. Its not to replace DX10 its to make DX9 users get some more life out of their DX9 cards.

Makes DX9 and XP user's a little more comfortable and they dont have to go out and buy a DX10 card yet.

vista currently runs games with dx9..but with dx10 = slow

dx9.0L = dx9 games of vista but fast?

I think that's more of a driver problem. Plus, vista uses more resources than XP does.

With XP, there's been more than enough time to make drivers work well with it.

ive tried it with vsta. and some dx9 games suck on it , I also get errors with messages lik cant find dx9 blahblah blah, so hopefully dx9.0l helps resolve these issues in vista or helps everyone else with xp.

DX9L..............sounds interesting............looks like it's an update for XP n Vista users, because from what ive been reading in these forums of games running on Vista, they either crash with errors, or games run SLOWER then on XP.

cant wait, hope to have the pre-OCed X2900 XTX by then.
