After lots of looking around here is the comp I would like to buy, as in I will be saving money to get:

Case:

Graphics Card:

Memory:

Card Reader:

So, that's it. Is there anything I am forgetting? Or is there something that is incompatible that I missed or just not strong enough. Oh yeah, I am not really into OCing just yet so do not take that into consideration. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Even if the case and PSU maker are Antec, I would never trust a PSU that comes with the case to power a high-power system. I Would look for a better case too as that one only has 1 120mm fan so it doesn't have the best cooling. As far as the mobo goes get a DS3 for 10 bucks more or get a 965PT for 20 less, both are better mobo's.

Last Core 2 Duos should be overclocked and that ram won't work the best for it. Just for safe bet I would pay the extra few bucks and get this RAM instead as it is awesome memory for the price.

G.Skill are EXCELLENT ram makers, ask anyone.

That's just how I would revise it.

I would get this case instead

(comes with 2 120mm fans), and then use the extra money to buy a seperate psu. Fortron is a good brand.

I also agree you should get something like the Biostar TForce 965PT. Nice board and handles overclocking well (if you decide to go that route).

edited to add.. if you go with the biostar, don't forget to upgrade your RAM to the DDR2 800.

Okay, so I changed a few things:

Case: I like the way this one looks more but it still has two 120 fans as well
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16811208008

Power Supply: Went for an Antec PSU
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817103937

Mobo: Took advice and went for the DS3
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813128012

Memory: Went for the G.Skill
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820231098

(Everything else remains the same)

With these changes and the rebates they provide, I actually save $12. Thanks for the advice. Any other comments would be appreciated.

I have the blue and grey version of the Xion you choose and they are excellent cases for the money. Very good choice but the PSU that comes with them are just junk and you should get another one of coarse. Aside from the PSU the 3 fans are awesome and they keep it nice and cool inside, good choice.

Yeah that case looks better than the one "lookin4help" posted! that will be a great rig once its all built.
Have you had a look at the Antec nine hundred? i bought it 3 weeks ago to replace my aging (and not very good cooling) Compaq case and it is great, well built, looks nice, everything went in a treat with space to spare, excellent cooling from 2 front 120mm fans, one 120mm exhaust on the back and a huge 200mm exhaust on top(all with 3 speed settings), plus an optional side window 120mm fan can be added which ive done and it brought my gpu temp down alot, overall excellent case for a high end build :D

Hey all,

The final price including shipping and rebates is $1357.01. To give a comparison, before the help I received from you all, the price was $1351.03 including everything. So, adding a better PSU, case, mobo, and memory cost me a grand total of:

$7.02

See, this is why I love this forum. :D

If there is anything else, please feel free to add.
