display problem

i was wondering how to make the box around the word go away. Novice question =)

Change the back ground color of the Names. Its through, hrrmmm, the apperence settings on desktop when you select properties...

i know theres a way you can do it, but i cant remember off hte top of my head let me google a little.

right-click My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced -> Performance Settings -> "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop"

^ do that, i un ticked mine and the "shadow" appeared, ticked it back and it disappeared, it should work.
