keyboard not working

my keyboard quit working. everything else functions as ususal. mouse is fine ,etc. changed it out with another one and it doesn't work either. any ideas?

USB or PS/2?

wireless? batteries?

its not usb. plugs into a port with the keyboard pic over it.

Did you shut down the PC before swapping it? PS/2's usually don't like to be hot-swapped.
