Need Help

I want to be able to play and watch vhs on my computer (fujitsu lifebook n series). Where ever I try to get help with this, the information is only about converting vhs to dvd via computer, or being able to edit vhs on computer. What cords/ cards are necessary? Are there any download-able free programs for this?

The closest thing I could think of for doing that would be hooking your notebook up to your TV and playing the tape through the TV, which at that point you might aswell just watch it on your TV. Why the need to watch tapes anyhow?

My college's library has a really great VHS collection, however I (nor none of my friends) have a television.

You could always get something called a GameBridge on ebay. It's about 20 bucks, I'd say, and you can connect any RCA cables to your computer, so you could just hook up the VHS player to your computer.
