I'm interested in buying a laptop. My budget is about $1000 dollars. Mostly I do graphic work on it, but I also play some games from time to time. I don't care about playing games on max settings but not the lowest either. But I would like a decent screen, but don't mind a 15".
I'm a bit confused about the core duos and core 2 duos. I'm not concerned much about battery life since I'm never too far away from a plug. Also how are the AMD chips? The turions I believe. I notice laptops are usually cheaper with them.
I've looked at the dell and HP sites. Both have good deals around my range, but I hear Dells customer service sucks.
Here's basically what I'm looking for:
At least 1GB of ram but would prefer 2GB.
At least 80GB hard drive.
Decent screen quality. Size isn't too important.
Decent graphics card, but not high end.
CPU is up in the air right now.
