Do I need a better CPU to run games a higher resolutions with a G80 card?

I'm sorry if this question sounds very noob but I'm just wondering this because I am planning in buying a 8800GTS 640mb superclocked early in April but I'm worried that the games don't run like the benchmark have shown because of my CPU (Athlon 64 X2 4800 '939')

Will my CPU be a bottleneck or I will be able to play the latest games at 1680 x 1050 with max setting?

Thnx in advance.

BTW here is the link to the article that I read.

Your CPU is still quite good. I wouldn't worry about it 'bottlenecking.' That's not to say that better CPUs don't have a significant impact on gaming performance.

Why not have a look at these CPU charts to help you see what kind of performance difference there is between your CPU and some others out there.

The 4800 is a great cpu it definately wont bottleneck, or i dont think so as i have a 7950 gx2 which is fine with my 4800

After seeing some CPU charts (thnx btw) I feel more tranquil,
I thought I would need to get another CPU but after seeing the charts I see that there is no huge difference, is like you said a significant boost nothing more.
