Just wondering if it's possible to replace a keyboard on a laptop. All i know is that it is a Toshiba brand. No model # available at this time

My boss'es home laptop lost the "Z" key and now it wont function.

Please help, i'm trying to earn some brownie points here.

my girlfriend allways had a problem with her keys, an apple laptop, eventually enter =- and all the function keys stopped working (as well as spacebar), we bought her an external usb keyboard, made the whole world a better place!

yes, you can replace it. Do a google search for "model of laptop replacement keyboard" and find the part number and look for it on ebay. Alternatively, you could contact toshiba and buy one from them.

I think that it was taken apart then put back together and now several keys do not work.

I did a google search (DUH! I should have done that first) and found a few replacements. I'm still waiting on the model # to find the correct part.

Anyhow, thanks for all your help!! Looks like i earned a few brownie points!!! :D
