how good is this video card

i am looking for the best video card under $300, i cant go any higher than that, so what do you think of this one, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814102082 , if it isnt the best i can get which one is, need help

or you can wait until like march and the new dx10 caRDS COME OUT THE 8600ULTRA 180$ DX10 AND I BET THE 8800GTS WILL BE DOWN TO 300 BY THEN.

This card is what I plan on getting soon. It's nvidia, though, so I'm not sure how it compares to the ATI you listed.

Excellent card its the one i have, i play Call of duty 2 and Battlefield 2142 at the highest settings with good FPS, and its silent in benchmarks the 7950GT scores slightly higher than ATI

I'd get the X1950Pro. At that price no other card can beat it, and you won't spend too much money on a dx9 card so you can upgrade later.

However, if you do have the patience, I would wait until the next batch of dx10 cards. I reckon the 8600 would outperform any dx9 card.

ya ya the 8800gts 320mb and theres also dx10 cards that are called 8600ultra coming out as 180$
