Hard Drive Password

We need this hdd it is the C drive..it has an operating system on it but when we turn the computer on it won't boot the operating system without the password..if it was a windows password we would just use our ERD disk..but we can't get into it..I CAN"T BELEIVE THERE ISN"T A FIX>> UGHHH!!it is just frustrating.. I absolutly appreciate all advice.. maybe talk to some other people and brain storm maybe we can come up with something.. hopefully.. thanks Fairie9983

hm would going into windows recovery console on the xp cd and tpying FIXBOOT do it?? i know theres a few boot menus in it that wrewrite the boot section of the hard disc
