I have windows xp pro, I updated it from Windows Media Center, i need to change it back to media center, put if i run system restore it keeps windows Xp pro as the opperating system

yea but my computer needs the opperating system to be Media center (it's really stupid it counts it as two different type)

I think that what he was saying was that what you did was more like a down grade. XP MCE is higher up then XP Pro. MCE is built on top of pro. Anyways, stick in you cd, and restart your computer. When it asks you to push a key to start installation, do it, and that will reformat and install the OS properly.
