Help with a mobo

I just got this Asus P5GV-MX motherboard and it comes with a graphics integrated intel driver. BUT, its only a 128 memory card and I cant plug in my old 256 cuz its not a pci express card. Ive read a lot of reviews and people are saying that the motherboard is really picky with video cards. So, my main question is: Can i get this video card and will it work good with my motherboard, or is there a way i can disable the intel driver so it can work. Or if anyone has suggestions for other video cards that will be compatible and not have any conflicts please tell me.

You can disable it in bios. How much money are you willing to spend on a video card?

ok ill check if i can turn it off in bios and thanks for suggesting the nvidia card, ill be sure to look into that one.
