Friends 1st Build

For around $800 we have been reading and seaching the forum for ideas it will be used for a
little gaming and daily computing and must be upgradeable.

Maybe a 1GB stick instead of 2x512MB for future upgrading.

Looking to overclock? See if you can find a nice cpu cooler.
 
It's got enough RAM slots for that, but again, it's your decision.

I was going to suggest a cheaper hard drive, but Seagate has the best warranties.
 
that hdd is good. i only go with seagate now because my maxtors died twice. so now i have a segate and its wonderful, and it also has a 5yr warranty as opposed to maxtor's 1yr warranty.

It's got enough yes, but 2x1GB would be faster than 4x512MB or 2x512MB + 1x1GB.

I was reading somewhere that dual core runs faster with dual mem, as for OC not educated enough yet:D

I've had good luck with Seagate's before, I'm a noob when it comes to working on computers I'm learning alot from u guys in this forum appreciate all the info & suggestion.
