Trying to setup Outlook with yahoo...

I do know that you must have the "Mail Plus" and I do.

I followed the instructions that they give you to setup yahoo POP3 servers and I was only 50% successful. I can receive fine. But I can't send at all. The Error that I get is below:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10051, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I am using XP Pro
Has anyone come across this?

are you using any anti-virus email protection software or firewalls??

the error message is basically saying that port 25 is blocked, normally the reason being behind a firewall or the anti virus program has reassigned port 25 to another port

try disabling the AV and/or firewall and try again

Check the settings. Are you sure Yahoo doesnt use a secure connection to send mail? Are you sure it is port 25? I know that GMail uses a secure connection and it has to be port 465. Check those out and see if that is what is preventing you from sending.
