2.8gHz w/ HT to a 2.4gHz w/ HT

I can't seem to get my 2.8 Prescott down below 109F. I'm thinking of downgrading to a 2.4 Northwoods I have laying around. Any opinions, good or bad ? And are their any software changes I'd need to make along with the CPU change.
System specs are; intel D875pbz mb, 2.8gHz w/ HT Prescott, 1gig of pc3200 ram.

109 aint that bad im idling it 115 right now and i have a 3ghz presscott.

109 f is pretty good for a prescot,, , theres no need to change if its at that idle or under load,,, anyways you wont need software changes if you change your cpu, just make sure you mobo supports it

That is 43 Celcius. That is a normal temp. You have no problem!!

Thanks guys, I'm gonna do a good internal hardware cleaning tomorrow and see if I can't get the temp down a few more degrees. My machine used to idle about 99 to 102. I should be able to get it to idle at those temps again.
