firewall not allowing me to access certain sites

Hi
my firewall is not allowing me to access certain sites. i had norton firewall installed, but i can not seem to find the globe to disable.

i am using windows xp, also the taskbar does not seem to be stable. when i click o nthe arrow to give me all the active programs. after a few seconds it shrinks back just to display the clock. it is so irritating, how can i deal with this?

for the firewall issue there should be an option that will let you let those certain sites pass through the firewall.

for the wacky taskbar issue, you might need to reinstall norton cause thats sounds realy weird

The taskbar thing is a built in option for windows.

Right click the task bar, go to properties and uncheck Hide Inactive Icons

i unchecked the taskbar,
it shwos four icons, none of them are the norton firewall
i remember it was a greenish globe

if i go the windows task manager, what task should i be looking for?
