I have about 600-700$ easy (TOPS-$800), I have no idea on the quality of the Intel chips. I need with that budget a cpu, mobo, ram. I will not be OC'ing, I just want extreme stability. Nothing flashy, the more I save the better.

Thanks In advance, ordering tonight...

You cant use DDR1 with C2D as it doesnt support it.

First off I am going to say that not overclocking a C2D just a little bit is like doing 80 on the autobahn with a Ferrari. Quit playing it so safe as it can do a lot more and you wont be in danger of crashing anymore than at 80.

Do you plan on gaming?

I'll have this:
VIDEO CARD: 8800GTX
PSU:OCZ PowerStream 800 Watt
OS: VISTA Ultimate Genuine!
HDD: 1.25 TER WD, 150 RAPTOR
RAM: ???
MOBO: ASRock 775DUAL-VSTA
CPU: E6400
SOUND CARD: SOON TO COME~!

I just have a bad experience with OC'ing. Stock if fine for me, now can anyone suggest the three parts to buy?

HOLY 800W'S BATMAN!!! Thats a lot of unneeded power!!~~

Lol but anyway the CPU is fine but i would prefer a P5B-E mobo

what is 80 cad in american? like about 130 or something?

Then it's decided ASRock 775DUAL-VSTA, E6400 and new 2 gigs of DDR2 ram.

What is the cheapest two gigs of ddr2 are there?

"PCI-Express Graphics slot compatible with x16 cards, but connects via a x4 bus"

You read that, right? I wouldn't recommend using that board with an 8800gtx.

Don't cheap out on the motherboard, unless you like wasting money in the end.
