Why does it restart when i shut down.

It must be something very little but i m not getting it. Wheni shut it down from windows it starts again after a few seconds like i restarted. I have tried it with two different versions of Xp Home and professional but didnt solve the case.
I know its something very little but dont know where to start digging.

check in your bios. Probably something in there

I already checked there is nothing like wakeup on Lan and such things. sometimes it just shuts down without problem but 99 % of the time it continues to restart

The "wakeup on LAN" is usually a jumper on the motherboard.
