I know that Home Basic doesn't support translucent effects, but my question is does home basic support the Flip 3D feature ?

no. all of the cool affects are part of Aero. and home basic does not have Aero.

no thae are not a part of aero. they are just added features of the home premium package and up. aero is only the windows borders. nothing more.

Home Basic is just that. very basic with no goodies.

Is there a way that I can still use the bata ver. of Vista to see if I like it.... I know that is expires in june but I would like to check it out before I go and fork over a couple hundred dollars for it.... Really X2 because of having 2 computers in the house...

good question considering that there is supposedly a date that the beta will stop working on...

I'd suggest torrenting the final, you can try it for 30 days and then buy it if you like it...

it only works for 30days. after that it demands a key and only works for like 15 minutes each bootup.
